Schmeisser STG44 AEG

This is a change of pace for me.  This is not a gun that I sell but a gun that I own.

The rate of fire is very high, and the power is between 400-450 fps with .2 g bbs.

It is metal with a wood stock.

The high cap mag functions very well and holds upwards of 500 bbs.

The quality is excellent and the historical accuracy is great.  Detail is good and the weight is close to the original weapon at 9 pounds.

Expect to pay over 300 dollars new for this gun.  When I start carrying it expect to pay less.

Metal 1911 G13 Spring Airsoft Hand Gun

The Facts:

Features:

  • Push button clip release holds 15 BB’s

  • Full 1:1 size metal construction gun is weighted for a realistic feel

  • Includes: 20-pc. 6mm BB's

  • Length: 8.5"

  • Shoots at 350 FPS with .12g BB’s

  • This gun is exceptionally good quality.  The gun is very heavy and shoots very well.  It is super powerful and accurate, and can work well indoors or outdoors.  The gun is full size and feels similar to the real 1911 when held.

The only bad thing about it is that the hammer is fixed and does not move, however this is not really a problem in my opinion.

    M82 AEG Sig 556

So today I'm going to review a budget AEG thats a Sig 552:
    Double Eagle

    Features:

  • Push button clip release holds 20 BB's

  • Heavyweight metal alloy core construction with durable plastic housing

  • Switch for selecting between semi-automatic and full-automatic

  • Features an adjustable hop-up for more accurate firing

  • Foldable stock for easy transport

  • Includes 30-pc. 6mm BB's,

  • 7.2v Ni-cd batter w/DC charger

  • goggles,

  • electronic scope,

  • silencer barrel

  • shoulder strap

  • Length: 34.5"

  • Shoots at 160 FPS with .12g BB's

  • Very comfortable gun to wield, the sig ergonomics transferred with the design.  With the stock folded and the silencer removed the gun is very compact and easy to handle.  Great for CQB, or for ambushing your kid siblings.

The laser scope is actually much better than expected.  It holds its position for a long time.  Its also very bright which is perfect for dark or bright environments and quick and easy target acquisition.

Power is just enough to be effective but will not break your skin or windows.

Accuracy is good indoors, but wind can carry the bbs outdoors.  As always use .2g bbs to increase accuracy and reliability.

AK47 black sniper rifle with scope and bi-pod by AKing

Today I'm going to review a popular low cost AK47 spring rifle.

    Facts:

  • Push button clip release holds 50 BB's

  • Includes: 20-pc. 6mm BB's

  • scope

  • bipod

  • Length 30"

  • Shoots at 275 FPS with .12g BB's

  • The gun comes completely disassembled, but is very easy to assemble.  This is part of why it is so cheap.  The gun's quality is easily comparable to some more expensive rifles.  It has a sort of rough finish, but the spring is powerful and the construction is durable.  The scope is just for show but makes an effective peep sight.  It is also about half the size of a real AK, which makes it perfect for younger kids.  Powerful enough to shoot .2g bbs effectively, it makes a decent outdoor weapon as well.

    Keep it real,

Beretta spring airsoft pistol M997 UK ARMS

So today I am going to review on of the cheapest airsofts on the market, a UK Arms M997.

    First, as always, the facts:

  • Push button clip release holds 8 BB's

  • Includes 10 pc. 6mm BB's

  • Length: 6"

  • Shoots at 95 FPS with .12g BB's

  • Because of the price, quality of these guns ranges from one to another.  But of all the cheap pistols I've seen, these typically have the best quality control.  That being said insist that your online retailer tests the gun before he or she ships it.  The wholesaler often sells broken guns to it's retailers and expects them to cover the cost, or sell the broken guns.  Although I do not sell guns I know to be broken, I'm sure its happened to a number of unsuspecting ebay buyers.

The gun itself is pretty good for a cheap gun.  I've had mine for a few weeks and it hasn't broken.  I take very good care of my guns though...  These are more durable than the other 95 fps guns on the market, I say that from experience of other guns which broke during normal use.

Styling is cool if you like the berretta, and the trigger guard is big enough for my chubby fingers, which is unusual in this price tag.

Performance is to be expected.  Good indoor gun, wont break your stuff and doesn't hurt too bad.  That being said it is too under powered to fire .2g bbs with any distance.  If you want to shoot outdoors, i recomend a more powerful gun.

This gun typically retails for 7 or 8 dollars, but can be found cheaper online:

    G9 Premium Spring Pistol

The guns I've reviewed so far have been cheaper plastic guns.  The G9 is metal except for the grips and magazine.  This pocket pistol will fit in the palm of your hand.  In a pair of cargo shorts you could fit about 8 of them.  The gun feels amazing, easy to cock, good quality materials.  For a pistol with a 3 inch barrel it is very accurate.  Accurate enough to hit a can at about 30-40 ft outside with .2 g bbs.  I put about 300 bbs through it the other day without any problems.  It is also capable of firing like a shotgun, and is still fairly effective when firing 2 bbs instead of 1.  James bond himself would be proud of this awesome little spy pistol.

For those of you who are familiar it reminds me of Archer's underwear gun:

CYMA Pump shotgun 1:1 scale 265 fps Mossberg 500 style

Not much to say about this one.

Its key feature is its one to one scale size and excellent appearance.  I have a real mossberg 500 that i compared to this one.  The proportions are right and this one is actually a bit bigger than the real one.

It shoots well, accurate and powerful.  CYMA knows how to make a good airgun

    More soon

    M16B spring gun with laser

I'll start with the facts, these are the specs given by the wholesaler:
      Features:
    • Push button clip release holds 75 BB's
    • Includes 20-pc. 6mm BB's
    • Laser sight for improved accuracy and target aquisition
    • 1/1 scale
    • Length: 27"
    • Shoots at 240 FPS with .12g BB's

Now for the fun part, my opinion:

1/1 scale is simply not true... this is a small gun, good for a kid or small person.  I'm 6'1" and its rather small for me.

Quality is surprisingly good.  The laser is very bright and mounts securely.  Plastic is very good quality.  I was worried about the charging handle breaking from the spring.  But I've put several mags through the gun and everything still works fine.  With guns like this it's unusual to see them last much more than an hour of play.  Not the case with this.  Proper care would let this rifle live a long, healthy life

Accuracy and power are what is to be expected.  I only use .2s, which helps with accuracy and power over distance.  The gun is accurate and powerful enough to be used outdoors, but this rifle is better suited to indoor use.

For the next week this link will be good, otherwise contact me for info on this rifle

    Mission Statement

One of my housemates owns a small airsoft business.  He sells mostly spring guns, but has just gotten int o AEG's and the like and asked me to review some of his products for him.  As a blogger, airsofter and gun person, I'm happy to oblige.
